Knights Boys Flag Football Tryouts (Winter 2026)

Join the Long Island Knights Flag Football Team—where experienced coaching meets character-building mentorship. Our coaches bring decades of playing and coaching experience across all levels, and they’re here to help your athlete grow both on the field and in life.

We know that as a parent, you’re not just looking for a team—you’re seeking a program that unlocks your athlete’s full potential. You’re the guiding force behind their dreams. We’re the support system to help them get there.

What Is Flag Football?

Flag football is a fast-paced, non-contact version of football that’s perfect for youth athletes learning the game. Most leagues play 7-on-7, with a typical offensive setup including:

  • 3 offensive linemen

  • 1 quarterback

  • 2 wide receivers and 1 running back or 1 wide receiver and 2 running backs

In 7-on-7 formats, even the center can run a route—adding creativity to play design. Instead of tackling, defenders pull flags from the ball carrier’s belt, making agility and spacing key.

Age Group for Spring/Fall/Winter 2026

2026 will be open to boys ages 9 to 10, 11 to 12, 13 to 15 only boys. We will also introduce a 14–16 years old, Girls-only Program, to expand opportunities for female athletes.
