Joe Maggio
Director of Operations
General Manager
Joseph Maggio is the Director of Operations and General Manager of all sports programs for L. I. Knights Sports & Athletics. He leads with vision and hands-on execution, overseeing program development, coach recruitment, branding, sponsorships, and parent partnerships. His leadership balances operational rigor with creative innovation, ensuring Knights programs run smoothly while reflecting values of honor, teamwork, family, and inclusion.
Joseph has built a trusted youth sports brand recognized across Long Island for transparency, fairness, and community engagement. His expertise in communication and branding has elevated the Knights into a respected movement that empowers children to grow both on and off the field, shaping a legacy of inclusion, excellence, and character-driven development for the next generation.

Dominick Granato
Coach/Hitting Instructor
Coach Dominick Granato brings a significant wealth of experience across multiple sports programs, providing our athletes with leadership, knowledge, and a competitive edge. His determination to ensure the Knights brand consistently reflects its core values—both on and off the field—is evident in everything he does.
With a strong passion for player development and team camaraderie, Coach Dom emphasizes discipline, accountability, and respect for the game. His commitment to building unity and inspiring excellence strengthens our culture and drives our athletes to perform at their best.

Josh Barter
Coach/Outfield Instructor
Coach Josh Barter serves as a Coach and Outfield Instructor for the L. I. Knights Sports & Athletics 15U Baseball team, bringing a deep-rooted connection to the program and a wealth of playing experience. As a former Knights athlete who spent 15 years within the organization, Coach Barter understands firsthand the standards, culture, and expectations that define L. I. Knights Baseball. His journey from player to coach reflects a full-circle commitment to the program and its mission.
In his role, Coach Barter specializes in outfield development, focusing on reads off the bat, route efficiency, positioning, and overall field awareness. He works closely with athletes to refine fundamentals while helping them develop the instincts and confidence needed to perform at a high level. His teaching style emphasizes preparation, consistency, and attention to detail.
Coach Barter is dedicated to mentoring players both on and off the field, instilling the values of discipline, accountability, and teamwork. His experience, leadership, and passion for the game make him a valuable asset to the 15U team and a strong role model for athletes striving to grow within the L. I. Knights program.

Hector Colon III
Coach/Fielding Instructor
Coach Hector Colon III is currently attending Nassau Community College, where he is an active member of the college baseball program. As an elite infielder, he also brings strong knowledge and versatility as a catcher and pitcher, making him a valuable multi-positional instructor for our athletes.
He is a strong evaluator of hitting mechanics and offensive development and continues to expand his baseball knowledge through daily exposure to high-level competition.
Coach Hector is also committed to continuous growth, learning from both his fellow Knights coaches and his collegiate experience to sharpen his instructional approach.

Anthony Chiuchiolo
Coach/Speed & Agility Instructor
Coach Anthony Chiuchiolo brings energy, precision, and a teacher’s mindset to the diamond, specializing in defensive player development across both the infield and outfield. With a strong grasp of technique and game awareness, he equips athletes with the skills and confidence to excel under pressure. His training emphasizes footwork, glove control, and positioning, while also sharpening communication and situational decision‑making.
Coach Chiuchiolo’s approach blends technical instruction with mental preparation, ensuring players not only master mechanics but also understand the rhythm and demands of the game. By fostering accountability, resilience, and teamwork, he helps athletes grow into reliable defenders and leaders. Under his guidance, players learn to anticipate, react, and execute with consistency, making every defensive opportunity count.

AJ Kuhl
Coach/Bullpen and Pitching
Pitching is one of the most demanding and strategic positions in baseball—and at the L.I. Knights, it’s treated with the precision and care it deserves. Our pitching and bullpen program is designed to build confident, mechanically sound athletes who can perform under pressure and grow with every outing. Coach AJ Kuhl leads this critical area of development, working closely with every athlete on the mound to refine mechanics, strengthen mental focus, and elevate overall performance. From pitch sequencing and velocity control to situational awareness and recovery routines, Coach Kuhl ensures our pitchers are prepared for every challenge the game presents.
His deep expertise, unwavering passion, and commitment to player success make him an invaluable part of our coaching staff. Whether guiding a young arm through fundamentals or helping a seasoned pitcher make in-game adjustments, Coach Kuhl brings clarity, energy, and purpose to every session. Under his leadership, the Knights’ bullpen is more than a place to warm up—it’s a hub of growth, strategy, and readiness.
