Joe Maggio
Director of Operations
General Manager
Joseph Maggio is the Director of Operations and General Manager of all sports programs for L. I. Knights Sports & Athletics. He leads with vision and hands-on execution, overseeing program development, coach recruitment, branding, sponsorships, and parent partnerships. His leadership balances operational rigor with creative innovation, ensuring every Knights program runs smoothly while staying true to the organization’s values of honor, teamwork, family, and inclusion.

Joseph has built a trusted youth sports brand recognized across Long Island for transparency, fairness, and community engagement. He manages logistics across multiple sports while fostering strong relationships with families, coaches, and partners. His expertise in communication and branding has elevated the Knights into a respected movement that empowers children to grow both on and off the field. Through his leadership, the Knights continue to build a legacy of inclusion, excellence, and character-driven development for the next generation.

Rich Lusignan
Head Coach - 10u
As Head Coach of the 10U division, Coach Lusignan focuses on guiding athletes through a critical stage of growth — where fundamentals meet competition. His coaching emphasizes skill refinement, teamwork, and game awareness, ensuring players build confidence while preparing for higher levels of play. He creates a positive, structured environment where athletes learn to compete with honor, hustle, heart, and family at the core.
Coach Lusignan’s leadership extends beyond the court. He is dedicated to teaching sportsmanship, resilience, and respect, helping young athletes grow as teammates and leaders. Under his direction, the 10U program offers age-appropriate competition, skill brackets, and opportunities for every player to succeed.
With Rich Lusignan on staff, Knights Basketball continues its mission of building athletes who are not only skilled competitors but also proud representatives of the Knights legacy.

Danny Parise
Head Coach - 12u
Danny Parise as Head Coach of the 12U basketball team. With years of experience coaching youth athletes, Coach Parise brings a proven dedication to teaching fundamentals, building confidence, and fostering a culture of teamwork and respect.

At the 12U level, players are developing the skills and discipline that prepare them for competitive play. Coach Parise’s approach emphasizes agility, game IQ, and resilience, while ensuring athletes learn to compete with honor, hustle, heart, and family at the core. His practices balance instruction with encouragement, creating an environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Coach Parise is committed to guiding athletes through age-appropriate games that promote fitness, sportsmanship, and team spirit. Under his leadership, the 12U program offers a 10-game season plus playoffs, live stats and standings, and multiple skill brackets when registration numbers permit. Younger players also benefit from a pre-season instructional clinic, designed to build confidence and prepare them for success.

Dominick Granato
Head Coach 15u
Dominick Granato is Head Coach of the 13–15U basketball team. With a strong background in competitive coaching and a passion for mentoring young athletes, Coach Granato is dedicated to preparing players for the next level of their basketball journey.

At the 13–15U stage, athletes are entering a critical phase where skill, discipline, and teamwork must align with competitive intensity. Coach Granato’s approach emphasizes advanced skill development, game strategy, and leadership on and off the court. His practices challenge players to refine their fundamentals while building confidence in high-pressure situations, ensuring they are ready for high school competition and beyond.
